
Safe Eaten: Get your certification for your Food Manager license
We offer courses and testing for individuals at any level of their food service career. Whether you’re just starting out or are a long-time chef, we can provide just the right amount of training and easy certification so you can get your license and get to work. All courses are taught at your place of business. For trainings for individuals, please contact us to set up a location.
Class 1: New Food Manager Certifications
Just getting started in your food service career? Our new certification course will teach you the basics of food preparation and handling safety. We will work through the ServSafe textbook together so that you can learn this critical information while also getting tips on easily passing the certification exam. This course is also great for individuals looking to get back into the food industry after taking some time off.
For new certification courses you can schedule an eight hour class, two day class or even a two to four week class, depending on your preferences and learning needs.
These courses and exams are held in person at our Safe Eaten facility or we can come to you at your place of business. Once the exam has been passed, you will receive your certification of completion which can be submitted to your local Health Department or other appropriate entity to obtain a three-year license from the state. Your certification must be renewed every three years, ensuring all licensees have the most current and up to date information on safety and regulations.

Class 2: Food Manager Recertification and Retests
This course option is geared toward anyone who currently holds or has held a Food Manager Certification and needs to retest or renew their certification and license. This is a streamlined course that takes place over an eight-hour day. Six hours are used to cover the materials and refresh your knowledge about what the exam covers. Two hours are given to take the exam.

Class 3: Food Manager Certification Contract Training
We can provide group training for organizations and businesses looking to certify or recertify their employees. We can certify up to 35 individuals at one time. Special contract rates apply for group certification so please contact us directly for more information.
